Description:

SUMMARY
Functions as part of the Install Crew with primary activities being the assembly and construction of Panel Built buildings and mezzanine structures, including any standard accessories; both at Panel Built and customer site locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Works directly with Crew Leader to complete installation of PBI projects while maintaining quality and safety standards.

2. Works as member of Install Crew to achieve positive results in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Control.

3. Follows the direction of Crew Leader to comply with project scope of work and PBI guidance, safety, work rules, and procedures.

4. Craftsman in Carpentry, Plumbing, Sheet Metal Fabrication and Electrical trades.

5. Ability to operate industrial equipment (fork trucks, scissor lifts, etc) portable power tools, and hand tools.

6. Ability to read blueprints.

7. Clean and prepare finished product for final inspection and acceptance by customer.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract 2 and 3- digit numbers, basic multiplication and division. Ability to convert inches and feet measurements. Use of fractions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weights and measurements.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR for insurability.

Must have clear credit report (IAW FCRA) for insurability of company tools, equipment and supplies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing this job, employee is required to stand for extended periods of time, use both hands with dexterity, reach with both arms extended, stoop, kneel and crouch. This job requires occasional use of ladders and/or scaffolding for periods of work at heights above 6 feet requiring balance and confidence. Employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
