North Georgia College & State University (NGCSU), located in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County, Georgia, is a four-year university known as “The Military College of Georgia”. Academics at this school are as diverse, much like its student body. With more than 50 degrees to choose from, this school offers an array of programs ranging from nursing and education to military and philosophy. In addition to the regular admissions process, individuals planning to major in Nursing, Teacher Education, Athletic Training, or Exercise Science will have to fill out and submit additional paperwork. With more than 900 military cadets living on campus, college life is a blend of military tradition and general academia. As cadets are required to wear their uniforms while on campus, the student body can see the visual presence of the military at their school. Tuition varies depending on residency, with in-state tuition costing less than out-of-state tuition.
